Apple takes a step forward to bring their services in line with the EU data protection law.

Apple is introducing new tools that will allow for each consumer to have control over their own data. This article highlights the very reasons why:

Apple's changes are designed to give users the right to data portability, a new right introduced by GDPR, by allowing them to get a copy of their data which can be transferred to another service.

As users, we should always have the right to access data portability. This change is one of may that we will see coming. Hopefully not only in Europe, but one that will change the way users all over the world control their data. This is exciting as Apple is a such a large company and it has so many users across the globe. If apple takes this step, many others are sure to follow.
